— A Beloit man this week was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of extended supervision for a charge stemming from a 2010 domestic abuse incident in Janesville.

Brock A. Austin, 25, of 1712 Ashland Ave., Beloit, was sentenced Monday, according to a news release from the Rock County District Attorney's Office.

In July 2010, Austin was found guilty of battery, disorderly conduct and strangulation, a felony. All charges carried domestic abuse enhancers. Austin was put on probation and a sentence was withheld on the felony conviction, according to the news release.

Austin in May 2011 pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor criminal property damage charge after a January 2011 domestic incident, according to court records. In April, the district attorney's office moved to have Austin sentenced in the 2010 incident, which had taken place in Austin's home at 418 St. Lawrence Ave., No. 6, Janesville.
