Cedar Rapids shuts out Beloit
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa The visiting Beloit Snappers bowed, 5-0, Tuesday to the Cedar Rapids Kernels in Midwest League baseball.
The Kernels' Ryan Crowley (2-6) blanked the Snappers on seven hits through seven innings for Cedar Rapids' only victory in the three games series.
Beloit's Matt Tomshaw (4-5) was touched for four runs on nine hits to take the loss.
Beloit travels Tuesday to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for a three-game set.
