Verona, Middleton soccer register shut outs
JANESVILLE Janesville Craig's boys soccer team could not get untrack Tuesday night against Verona.
The visiting Wildcats scored two goals in each half en route to a 4-0 Big Eight Conference win.
Craig (3-5-0, 0-2-0) had scoring chances but could convert.
"There were some positive things we can take away from this game despite the loss," Craig coach Charlie Friedrich said. "Last year, Verona really handled us. This year, it was only 2-0 at half.
"We're working to improve each and every game."
Craig plays at Sun Prairie on Thursday night.

Parker (2-5-2, 0-2-0) trailed 2-0 at half but could not stop the high-powered Middleton offense in the second half.
"We did a good job the first half, and it took them (Middleton) awhile to figure out how to attack and spread the field on us," Parker coach Andy Holmes said. "In the second half, they were able to take advantage of some things.
"Overall, we learned a lot about how important it is to be compact defensively. Hopefully, that pays off down the road."
