— If Kailey McDade continues at this rate of improvement, she'll be ready for the pro tour in no time.

No one expects that, but the Janesville Parker High sophomore continued to improve steadily as the Vikings defeated both Madison West and Sun Prairie in Big Eight Conference girls golf meet at Sun Prairie Golf Course on Wednesday.

Taylor Wyss and Lindsey Ahrens each shot 87, but McDade was right behind with an 88.

"Our biggest breakthrough was Kailey McDade," Parker coach Mary Ross said. "In the last triangular, she broke 100 for the first time. (Wednesday) she broke 90.

"That's incredible improvement. We're starting to see the result of all the hard work."

The Vikings are idle until next Thursday when they play Craig and Madison La Follette at Monona.
