Slaback second; Parker cross country girls fourth
Miranda Slaback helped lead Janesville Parker's girls cross country team to a fourth-place finish at Thursday's Nature Hill Challenge race in Oconomowoc.
Slaback covered the 4,000-meter course in 16:11 to finish second overall to Oconomowoc's Marlee Houston, who won in 16:03.
Westosha Central won the 12-team girls title with 59. Parker was fourth with 109.
Kettle Moraine's 64 points easily won the boys team title. Parker, behind Dane Tyler's eighth-place finish, was eighth with 160.
