Craig wins third straight
OCONOMOWOC Janesville Craig's girls basketball team rolled to 47-38 nonconference victory over Oconomowoc on Tuesday to remain undefeated.
Kristi Crandall scored 18 points, including an 8-for-8 performance from the foul line in the second half for Craig.
Craig coach Kerry Storbakken said Crandall made the right plays down the stretch.
"You want the ball in your point guard's hands at the end of the game," Storbakken said. "Kristi did a nice job at the point."
Katie Villa scored six of her 10 points in the first half and grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double. Ali Hughes scored 12 points.
"Hughes is a sophomore and is growing nicely," Storbakken said. "She is coming along."
Craig gained a 19-10 edge in the second quarter to lead 30-19 at the half. The Coonies did not threaten the rest of the way.
Craig (3-0) hosts undefeated Verona at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in a Big Eight Conference game.
