Dement, Draeving lead UW-Rock women

The UW-Rock County women's basketball team continued its winning ways Wednesday night.

Julia Dement scored 20 points and Courtney Draeving added 15 to lead the Rattlers to a 63-45 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference win UW-Washington.

Rock County used an early second-half run to pull away. The Rattlers improved to 8-4 overall, including 7-2 in conference play.

"We limited our turnovers and took good shots," Rock County coach Scott Lee said. "Julia did a nice job running the point and keeping things under control."

-- Washington 64, Rock County 58—Nick Holman had 30 points, including six three-point baskets, to lead host Washington to the win in a men's Wisconsin Collegiate Conference game.

Orfordville Parkview graduate Kyle Woodworth had 21 points to lead Rock County (4-9), while David Harper chipped in 15.

The Rock County men's and women's teams play UW-Barron on Saturday.
