Turner schedules 4K, kindergarten program registration

BELOIT — Registration for the 4K and kindergarten programs for the 2012-13 school year in the Beloit Turner School District will be from Monday, Feb. 20, to Friday, March 2, at Powers Elementary School, 620 Hillside Ave.

Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. No appointment is necessary.

Evening hours are available from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22. The office will be closed the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 23, and all day Friday, Feb. 24.

Children must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 to attend 4K, and 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to attend kindergarten. Students must reside in the Turner district.

Parents and guardians should bring their children's birth certificate, immunization records and two forms of proof of residency.

A parent informational meeting on the 4K program will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Powers Elementary.
