Hale downs Delavan-Darien
West Allis Hale pulled away in the final minutes to down host Delavan-Darien, 70-54, in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night.
The host Comets led by five at the end of the first quarter and the game was tied at 29-all at halftime. Delavan-Darien still was within six points deep into the fourth quarter, before the Comets had to foul, and the Huskies pulled away.
Senior guard Justin Held led the Comets (2-18) with 18 points. Sophomore guard Stephen Rodriguez added 16 points.
Nick Sotiros and Derrick Waller each had 16 for the Huskies (5-15).
