Illinois man dies in single-car crash
SHARON — An Illinois man died Wednesday after a single-car accident near Sharon.
Jeffery S. Janet, 48, of Union, Ill., was driving eastbound on Stateline Road at about 9:30 a.m. when he lost control of his Ford F-150 on snow-covered and icy roads. The truck crossed into the westbound lane, entered the ditch and rolled over.
Janet was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the truck. He was flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital where he died from injuries.
Walworth County Sheriff’s deputies along with officers from Sharon, Harvard, Ill., and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.
