Janesville Bluebird settle for tie
The Janesville Bluebirds were fit to be tied Tuesday night.
Dan Addie scored at 9:27 of the third period to lift Janesville into a 3-3 tie with Madison West, and that’s where the game ended as neither team scored in overtime in a Big Eight Conference thriller.
Janesville (10-6-1, 4-5-1) had chances to win in overtime but could not convert.
“We didn’t play too badly, but their freshman goalie (Henry Cutting) made some nice saves,” Janesville coach John Mauermann said.
“I like the way we’ve played the second half of the season. We’re moving the puck around better, and getting production from all three lines.”
Addie scored twice for Janesville, while D.J. Mussey had three assists for the Bluebirds.
Tyler Lewis and Michael MacDougall combined for 30 saves for Janesville.
