Milton Raptors win on the road
JOHNSON CREEK The visiting Milton Junction Pub Raptors defeated Johnson Creek, 5-1, Sunday in Rock River League baseball.
The Raptors pounded out 14 hits, including seven doubles to improve to a league-leading 9-2 record in the Southern Division of the Southwest Section.
While Milton was knocking the ball around the park, including two doubles apiece from T.J. Klawitter and Josh Shere, Raptors pitchers Sean McCann and Joe Shere combined on a four-hitter.
Eric Steinke ripped a two-run single in the second inning, and T.J. Klawitter smacked an RBI double to give the Raptors a 3-0 lead. Joe and Josh Shere hit back-to-back doubles in the fifth, and Tom Scalissi hit an RBI single to complete the Raptors’ scoring.
Milton travels to the Madison Rockers on Saturday.
