Death of Milton man under investigation

Authorities are seeking the public’s help to learn details about the Thursday death of a Milton man.

According to news release from the Milton Police Department:

Police were called to 20 1/2 N. John Paul Road, Milton, at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers reported finding Mark R. Buchanan, 31, in the bedroom of his own home. The Rock County Coroner’s Office later pronounced him dead.

Milton Police Chief Dan Layber declined to say who had called authorities.

Police are not releasing details in Buchanan’s death, pending an investigation.

Buchanan showed no obvious signs of trauma or a violent death, Layber said. A toxicology report is pending. Results of testing are expected within three weeks.
