Pipik earns overall title

— Drew Pipik fired a final-round 75 Tuesday to win the overall title at the 36-hole

Optimist Junior Tournament at Riverside Golf Course.

Pipik carded a 150 total for a four-stroke victory over Ryne Clatworthy, who carded a final-round 79 to finish at 154.

Pipik won the 15-16 year-old division, while Clatworthy won the 17-18 age division. Zachary Morris posted 79 to go with his first-round 75 for a 154 total to win the 13-14 age group.

Meanwhile, Maddie McCue carded a 79 for a 161 total and a five-shot victory over Taylor Utzig for the girls 36-hole championship. McCue won the 15-16-year-old division, and Utzig won the 17-18 age group title.

Owen Henry and Matt Zimmerman each carded 81 to lead the 18-hole boys tournament.

Henry closed with a 39 after carding an opening-round 42 to win the 9-10-year-old age group. Zimmerman added a 41 to his first-round 40 to win the 11-12 age group.

Sophia Dooman posted a 58 to go with her first-round 58 for a 116 to win the 11-12 girls age group by one stroke over Julia Hartwig.
