Beloit Snappers connect for five home runs but fall to Loons
BELOIT Five home runs weren’t enough to save the Beloit Snappers on Sunday afternoon.
The Great Lakes Loons scored a run in the top of the eighth to break a 7-7 tie and went on to claim a 10-7 Midwest League win at Pohlman Field.
Beloit got two home runs Kenny Vargas, along with solo shots from Steven Liddle, Nate Roberts and Wang-Wei Lin. Roberts finished 4-for-4 with a double and a home run.
The two teams wrap up the three-game series at noon today.
