Koch, Wheeler spark Beloit Snappers
BURLINGTON, IOWA The Beloit Snappers began a six-game road trip in impressive fashion Wednesday night.
Matt Koch doubled and homered to lead the Snappers to a 4-1 Midwest League win over the Burlington Bees.
Beloit took a 1-0 lead in the third before Koch and JaDamion Williams hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth to make it 4-0.
Jason Wheeler (12-4) picked up the victory, while Mason Melatokis earned his first save of the season.
Game two of the three-game series is tonight.
