Police seize drugs, cash in I-90/39 stop
TOWN OF LA PRAIRIE Three Dane County residents were charged Monday in Rock County Court with felony possession of drugs after police reported seizing marijuana, cocaine and $4,547 during a Saturday traffic stop on Interstate 90/39 near Janesville.
Charged are:
-- Whitney E. Pope, 21, Waunakee, with party to possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and party to possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.
-- Tyshea D. R. Grandberry, 28, Fitchburg, with party to possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and party to cocaine with intent to deliver.
-- Allen J. Ladd Jr., 28, Sun Prairie, with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.
A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper stopped Grandberry for speeding at 4:48 a.m. Saturday near County O in the town of La Prairie, according to the criminal complaint. Hidden in the trunk the trooper found nearly a half pound of raw marijuana in eight baggies and about four ounces of cocaine in two baggies.
Each of the people in the car had more than $1,000 in cash.
