Verona dominates All-Big Eight girls soccer

Big Eight Conference champion Verona placed four players on the first team in the All-Big Eight Conference girls soccer selections.

The Wildcats, who finished 8-0-1 in conference play, had senior forward Ashley Seymour, sophomore midfielder Felicia Retrum, senior defender Claire Melin and senior goalie Dylan Haller on first team.

WIAA Division 1 state champion Madison West placed sophomore defender Elise Brown on first team.

Janesville Craig senior defender Ina Pruzinskis was second team.

Craig sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Schroeder was honorable mention, along with Cougar junior forward Kristi Crandall. Craig senior Kayleah Wright and junior Randi Sheetz were both honorable mention midfielders.

Janesville Parker junior Dani Fugate was honorable mention defender, along with senior goalkeeper Brianna Washington.
