Janesville Jets face Blues in NAHL playoff series

JANESVILLE — The Janesville Jets play the Springfield Blues in a first-round three-out-of-five North American Hockey League Midwest Division playoff series, 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 6-7 at the Janesville Ice Arena.

The Jets finished second in the Midwest Division and hold home ice advantage over the third-place Blues. The St. Louis Bandits, the Midwest Division champs, host fourth-place Coulee Region Chill in the other first-round Midwest Division playoff series.

The Jets travel to Springfield on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14 for Games 3 and 4, if necessary, and return for Game 5, if necessary, on Sunday, April 15.

Playoff tickets are sold at the Janesville Ice Arena box office at 5:45 p.m. game days or call (608) 752-5387 to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for children 5 to 18 years old and seniors 62 and older. Children 4 and under are free.

Janesville (36-18-4) hosts Springfield (30-26-2) in the final two regular-season games at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 30-31.

Jets banquet

The Jets end-of-the-season banquet is 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at the Craig High School cafeteria.

A player autograph session, live auction for home and away jerseys and raffle prize giveaways highlight the event. WCLO sports director Al Fagerli will host the event catered by the Italian House.

Banquet tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children, and are available at home games, or call (608) 752-5387. The event benefits the Jets Community Fund.
