— Janesville Craig's boys soccer team won its second straight game and its first Big Conference game in two years Tuesday night.

The Cougars got two assists from Ian Reinicke and broke open a scoreless game at half with three goals en route to a 3-1 win over Madison East.

Craig (8-13-1, 1-8-0) got goals from Fernando Reyes, Peyton Wunn and Djarne Wolff in a span of 12 minutes.

"This was a big one for us," Craig coach Charlie Friedrich said. "The boys have been starting to put it all together the last few games and playing like they're capable of.

"We've been a second-half team all year, and tonight was no different. Now we need to keep it going Thursday night against Beloit. They beat us earlier this year in a conference match, so this is a chance to get back at them."

Craig hosts Beloit Memorial at 7 p.m. Thursday.
