Three people hurt in domestic incident
WHITEWATER Three people, including at least one child, were injured Monday in what Whitewater police are describing as a family disturbance.
Officers responded at 3:57 p.m. to a report of a child who had been cut during a domestic incident, according to a news release.
The suspect, a man, fled the scene with two juveniles before police arrived.
Two other victims who had previously fled the house were taken to Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital, according to a police news release.
The man's vehicle was spotted by a Rock County sheriff's deputy, according to the release. A chase ensued, with the State Patrol and officers from Beloit and town of Beloit joining in.
A woman answering the phone at the Whitewater Police Department on Monday night said three people were injured. She would give no further details.
A resident reported seeing police tape around a home and a police officer on guard in the 300 block of Janesville Street on Monday night.
Sgt. Troy Egger of the Rock County Sheriff's Office said the vehicle was spotted at Creek and Shopiere Roads at 4:28 p.m., and the chase ended when the vehicle crashed at Wren and Skyline drives in Beloit, where the man was taken into custody.
Egger said two juveniles were in the car with the man, but no one was injured as a result of the crash.
