Parker volleyball finishes strong in win
Janesville Parker's girls volleyball team dominated the last two games en route to its first Big Eight Conference win Tuesday night.
Trailing two games to one to Madison West, Parker won game four 25-10 and the decisive fifth game 15-9 in rallying for the victory.
Ashley Hartwig had 35 kills and Claire Fox had seven service aces to lead the Parker (1-1) attack.
"We played very well, especially the last two games, for this early in the season," Parker coach Dave Lehmann said. "Once we figured out how to attack West, we really dominated the last two games.
"We're not back to 100 percent health-wise, but tonight was the first match we've had everybody on the floor. There is still a ways to go, but I'm pleased with the progress we're showing as a team."
Parker plays at Middleton on Thursday night.
