Middleton tennis sweeps past Cougars
Middleton High showed off its girls tennis talent at Palmer Park on Thursday afternoon.
The Cardinals swept host Janesville Craig, 7-0, in a Big Eight Conference match.
"It's Middleton," said Craig coach Bill Peyer. "They are the class of the conference."
The Cougars won nine games in the seven matches.
"We just couldn't match them every shot," Peyer said. "We hung in there and fought hard."
The Cougars, 2-5 in the Big Eight, play at Janesville Parker on Tuesday.

Sun Prairie edges Parker

Sun Prairie won three of the four singles matches, while Parker (1-6) took two of the three doubles matches.
Megan Mitchell gave the Vikings their singles victory at No. 3.
Long said Heather Bailey and Karly Stowers, in their first match together, played well in their No. 2 doubles victory.
At No. 1 doubles, Parker's Rosalie Sellman and Elizabeth Severance also won.
"Overall, it was a good effort," Long said.
The Vikings next play Tuesday at home against Craig.
