Wyss propels Parker golfers

MONONA — Janesville Parker collected two Big Eight Conference victories Thursday, including one against Janesville Craig.

Led by Taylor Wyss' 39, the Vikings rolled to a 172-199 victory over the Cougars, and a 172-238 victory over La Follette in a match played at Monona.

"She shot really well," Parker coach Mary Ross said of Wyss. "She's playing really steady golf, and she's a great leader for us."

Lindsey Ahrens added a 42, and Kailey McDade had a 45 for the Vikings.

"Lindsey also is playing steady, and Kailey is coming into her own," Ross said of her 7-1 Parker squad. "I'm really looking forward to our conference tournament."

Ashley Hermans shot a 48 and Hayley Arneson added a 49 to lead the Cougars.

Both Parker and Craig will participate in the Cardinal-Spartan Invitational at Pleasantview Golf Course on Saturday.
