-- CHRISTOPHER L. KUMMER, 22, of 1272 Woodland Drive, Milton, at 12:15 a.m. Saturday at 3359 Milton Ave., Janesville, on a charge of substantial battery with intent. A fight started between groups of people driving on Milton Avenue, according to police reports.
-- EDWARD L. SMITH, 20, of 702 Prairie Ave., Janesville, at 10 a.m. Sept. 4 at the Janesville Police Department on charges of felony child abuse and strangulation. Smith was arrested after a fight with a 17-year-old male near the intersection of Barberry Drive and Kennedy Road in Janesville.
-- ABRAHAM SARABIA, 43, of 3310 Spruce St., Janesville, at 7:30 a.m. Friday at 3901 Randolph Road, Janesville, on a charge of recklessly causing bodily harm to a child. The incident was reported to have taken place at his home.
-- SCOTT SPERB SR., 48, of 366 Glen St., Janesville, at 11:01 p.m. Friday at home on charges of strangulation and battery. He is accused of choking a woman and poking her eye. A 19-YEAR-OLD JANES-VILLE MAN was arrested at 5:26 p.m. at the same address on a charge of disorderly conduct. He is accused of cutting a power cord with a knife.
Intoxicated driving arrests
-- ZACHARY J. WAKENIGHT, 26, of 304 S. High St., Janesville, at 3:04 a.m. Saturday at High and Johnson streets in Janesville.
-- STEVEN A. STEINKE, 27, of 1513 Primrose Lane, Janesville, at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 2 at the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and Fremont Street in Janesville. The arrest was listed as Steinke's third on an intoxicated driving charge.

-- BURGLARY reported at 12:02 p.m. Friday at Julie and Ray's Liquors, 1621 W. Court St., Janesville. A door was forced open. It was unknown at the time of the report if anything was stolen.
