-- GINA A. STRANG, 45, of 2706 Bond Place, Janesville, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at home on charges of recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct. Police responded to Strang's home for a report of an armed person. A number of officers surrounded the home while negotiators worked to resolve the standoff peacefully. No one was reported injured.
Accidents
-- LODGE DRIVE AND WOODLANE ROAD in Janesville at 3:50 p.m. Friday. Alexia R. Gegare, 18, of 830 Appleridge Drive, Janesville, was driving west on Lodge Drive just east of Woodlane Road. She saw a number of people crossing the road but was unable to stop in time because of the icy conditions. She struck one of the pedestrians, and a second was knocked down. Rhonda M. Kubehl, 25, of 1723 Barham Ave., Janesville, was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. A 4-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital with injuries, but his condition was not available because he is a minor. Gegare was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.
Charged
-- TIMOTHY J.D. DAVIS, 21, of 121 Koshkonong Drive, Edgerton, with forgery. He is accused of cashing stolen checks in the amount of $500 in August at an Edgerton bank.
-- MALLORY L. DISCH, 25, of 734 Milton Ave., Janesville, with party to theft, obstructing and two counts of felony bail jumping. She is accused of selling a relative's rings on Dec. 19 at a Janesville jewelry store. She also is accused of telling an officer the rings belonged to her.
