Arrests

-- JASON E. LOVETT, 29, 465 N. Washington St., Janesville, at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cook County Jail, Chicago, on a bench warrant accusing him of failing to appear in Rock County Court on a charge of burglary.

-- BURGLARY reported at 12:49 p.m. Jan. 25 to a home in the 11000 block of Hill Avenue, Edgerton. Reported stolen was a compound bow valued at $2,500.

-- BURGLARY reported at 4:07 p.m. Jan. 11 to a home in the 800 block of North Martin Road, Janesville. Reported stolen was a blown glass vase containing change. Loss estimated at $850.

-- FINANCIAL CARD CRIME reported Wednesday at Rock River Marina, 520 Richardson Springs Road, Edgerton. In October, the business sold and shipped an outboard motor valued at $7,500 that was paid for with a fraudulent credit card.

-- BURGLARY reported Jan. 16 to a vacant residence in the 2400 block of North Pontiac Drive, Janesville.

-- THEFT from a residence in the 3400 block of Spruce Street, Janesville, reported Jan. 15. Taken were three rings with precious stones, two wedding bands and a Rolex watch, total value estimated at $10,700. Police have suspects.

Accidents

-- INTERSTATE 90/39 AT AVALON ROAD/HIGHWAY 11 at 8 p.m. Monday. One lane was closed for about one hour for the removal of a semitrailer truck after a crash. No other details immediately available.

Fire calls

-- 1504 ROOSEVELT AVE., JANESVILLE, reported at 3:55 p.m. Monday after a 2001 Chevrolet Impala caught fire inside a detached garage. The car, valued at $2,500, was a total loss, as were many possessions in the garage. No injuries were reported and the garage remains standing. Heat from the fire peeled paint off of a nearby house, which avoided any other damage.
