Parker has prep for league meet

Janesville Parker's gymnastics team wrapped up the regular season with a nonconference triangular against Whitewater and Elkhorn.

Whitewater won the meet with a score of 126.625, with Parker right behind at 125.975.

Parker's Brecklyn Skaleski won floor exercise and teammate Hailey Leisten the balance beam. Elkhorn's Randi Fuller won uneven bars and Whitewater's Kelly O'Hara the vault.

"It was nice to get some competition in before Saturday's (Big Eight) conference meet," Parker coach Cathy Lehmann said. "Otherwise we would've had two weeks off.

"Brecklyn had her best score of the year on floor exercise, so that was nice to see at this point of the year."

Saturday's conference meet at Craig begins at 10 a.m.
