Janesville Bluebirds season comes to an end in 6-0 loss to Whitefish Bay
JANESVILLE The season came to an end Thursday night for the Janesville Bluebirds.
Janesville's high school co-op boys hockey team failed to score in a 6-0 loss to Whitefish Bay in a WIAA Division 1 regional final game.
The Bluebirds finished the season 7-15-0.
"We had way too many turnovers in the neutral zone and that cost us," Janesville coach John Mauermann said. "Once we got the puck into their end, we made some things happen. We just couldn't finish.
"And they had one good line that we needed to control, and we didn't. That was the difference."
