Downtown Janesville group sponsors decorating contest for businesses

This is just part of the holiday window display at Associated Collectors, 113 W. Milwaukee St., in downtown Janesville. The display was named the winner of the Downtown Development Alliance’s window decorating contest.

— Passersby can view the creativity of downtown business owners and employees who entered a sled-themed window contest sponsored by the Downtown Development Alliance.

Displays will be up through the end of January. Each display was required to include at least one sled, any size, shape or material.

Contest winner was Associated Collectors, 113 W. Milwaukee St.

Second-place winner was Combs & Associates, 109 W. Milwaukee.

The Coin Shop, 411 W. Milwaukee St., won third place.

Honorable mentions went to Once Junky, now Funky, 119 N. Main St.; Raven's Wish, 101 W. Milwaukee St.; Studio 107, 107 W. Milwaukee St.; and Home Again, 215 W. Milwaukee St.

Other participants included: Teddy's on Main, 21 N. Main St.; Carousel Consignments, 31 S. Main St.; Rock County Appliance, 34 S. Main St.; Express Employment, 50 S. Main St.; Hair Force, 7 S. River St.; Elle Belles, 105 W. Milwaukee St.; Interiors, 225 W. Milwaukee St.; Cy-Va at 222, 222 W. Milwaukee St.; Milwaukee Street Used Books, 218 W. Milwaukee St.; Grafft Investments, 315 W. Milwaukee St.; Crazy Joe's Furniture, 314 W. Milwaukee St.; and Dianna's Tailoring, 9 N. Academy St.
