Knoble leads balanced attack

PLATTEVILLE — A balanced attack carried UW-Whitewater's men's basketball team Wednesday night.

Luke Knoble led five players in double figures with 15 points as the Warhawks coasted past UW-Platteville, 74-61, in a WIAC game on the Bo Ryan Court.

Whitewater (12-2, 5-1) led by four at half and pushed the lead to double digits early in the second half. The Warhawks remain a game behind league-leading Stevens Point (6-0).

Quardell Young added 13 points for the Warhawks, while Darnell Harris and Alex Merg had 11 points each. Harris also had a game-high 10 rebounds.

Whitewater travels to UW-Superior on Saturday.

Three-point goals—Whitewater 7 (Harris 3, Souter 2, Bryson, Merg), Platteville 2 (Stocki, Wittwer). Rebounds—Whitewater 30 (Harris 10), Platteville 37 (Manning 10). Free throws missed—Whitewater 4, Platteville 10. Total fouls—Whitewater 22, Platteville 18.
