Delavan man pleads guilty to sex assaults
ELKHORN — A Delavan man faces a maximum of 120 years in prison after pleading guilty Wednesday to two counts of repeated first-degree sexual assault of a child.
A criminal complaint alleges David L. Burdick, 68, of 353 Tyrrell Court No. 313, repeatedly sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl between Jan. 1, 2010, and May 24, 2012. He also was charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl between Jan. 1, 2011, and May 24, 2012.
Burdick was arrested May 25 after telling a Walworth County sheriff's detective that he had sexual contact with the girls. The assaults occurred in the victims' home, according to the complaint.
Walworth County Judge John Race ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for March 8.
