UW-Rock men win conference game

The Elkhorn connection of Danny Desent and Kyle Hoskins lifted the UW-Rock County men's basketball team to victory Wednesday night.

Hoskins and Desent combined for 34 points to lead the Rattlers to a 74-56 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference Western Division win.

Rock County (6-12, 3-3) led by nine at half and pushed the margin to as many as 30 in the second half.

"This was a big win for us because it was a Western Division game and puts us in third place," Rock County coach Scott Lee said.

"Josh and Danny did a great inside/out job, while Josh Krueger of Albany had his first double digit scoring game."

Hoskins had 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Rattlers, while Desent added 16 and Krueger 12.
