Rock County

Arrests

-- A 16-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY at 7 a.m. Saturday at the Rock County Sheriff's Office on a felony charge of knowingly fleeing an officer. The charge stems from a chase on Highway 51 south of Janesville.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- FAVIAN VELASCO, 19, of 1815 Dell Drive, Beloit, at 5:41 a.m. Sunday at Hyatt and Main streets, Janesville. Also arrested on warrants and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reported

-- ROBBERY reported by a Janesville woman at 6 a.m. Monday at Holmes and Locust streets, Janesville. The woman said she was walking when a man grabbed her purse and ran. The purse's contents included identification, a credit card, $820 in cash and a pocketknife. Police searched with a dog but found no suspect.

Accidents

-- COUNTY G AT BLACKHAWK TECHNICAL COLLEGE at 11:51 a.m. Friday. A vehicle driven by Kathleen A. Johnson, 42, W7282 Beloit Road, Walworth, pulled out from an entrance drive into the path of a vehicle driven by Shelton Young Jr., 39, Madison. Young's vehicle left the road and struck a tree. He was transported to an area hospital. Johnson was ticked for failing to yield the right of way.

-- HIGHWAY 14 SOUTH OF STEWART ROAD in the town of Union at 12:22 a.m. Thursday. A vehicle driven by Adam G. Miller, 1724 Grant St., Beloit, left the road. He was treated and released at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital.

-- HIGHWAY 14 EAST OF NORTH TOLLES ROAD in the town of Porter at 4:24 p.m. Thursday. A farm tractor driven by John B. Crull, 60, 12000 W. Highway 14, exited a field and struck a vehicle driven by Joseph S. Reyes, 32, 861 Glen Street, Janesville. Reyes was transported to an area hospital. Crull was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Charged

-- CLAYTON L. WHITE, 19, of 462 1/2 Chatham St., Janesville, with delivering synthetic marijuana, maintaining a drug-trafficking place, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of felony bail jumping. He is accused of selling the drug to a confidential informant in January in Janesville.

-- RONALD R. CROSS JR., 37, of 2985 Second Ave., No. 9, Edgerton, with possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He is accused of having a number of prescription pain and mood-altering medications, including Oxycodone, in his backpack on Feb. 24 in Edgerton. He did not have a prescription for the pills.

-- CHAD T. TADDER, 32, of 1529 Woodman Road, Janesville, with burglary and theft. He is accused of taking a purse and a video game system on Feb. 13 from a home in the 800 block of Rogers Street in Milton.

Walworth County

Accidents

-- WISCONSIN AND MILWAUKEE STREETS, WHITEWATER, at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The driver of a car coming around a curve was unable to stop for a railroad crossing on the snow-covered road, Whitewater Police Captain Brian Uhl said. The driver accelerated to try to cross the tracks in front of a train but didn't make it. The freight train clipped the back of the car. No injuries were reported.
