Verona takes over All-Big Eight squad

Verona dominated the All-Big Eight Conference boys hockey selections.

The Wildcats, the WIAA state runner-up, had three players on the first team. Verona senior forward Zach Jones was the Player of the Year. Jones had 52 points on the season, including a Big Eight-best 28 goals.

Janesville Bluebird sophomore defenseman Harry Henschler was honorable mention.

FIRST TEAM

Forwards—Zach Jones, sr., Verona; Zac Keryluk, sr., Verona; Charlie Parker, jr., Verona.

Defensemen—Jake Bunz, sr., Middleton; Drew Mikalofsky, sr., Sun Prairie.

Goaltender—Nate Teuscher, sr., Madison Lakers.

Forwards—Ty Pelton-Byce, soph., Madison Memorial; Cole Paskins, soph., Madison West; Austin Luxford, soph., Sun Prairie.

Defensemen—Griffin Epping, jr., Madison West; Philippe Fromberger, jr., Verona.

Goaltender—Henry Cutting, soph., Madison West.
