Sometime between the night of August 17th and the morning of August 18th, 2008, Shaun Vordermann shot his wife Jennifer before turning the gun on himself. The murder-suicide occurred within 24 hours of Shuan's release from Rock County Crisis Intervention, leaving family and friends asking if the tragedy could have been prevented.

The Janesville Gazette obtained a recording of Jennifer Vordermann, the victim of a murder-suicide in Edgerton. The call was recorded the night of Saturday, August 16th. The bodies of her and her husband Shaun were found the following Monday. Kyle Geissler reports.
