Genevieve "Jenny" E. Hill, Fort Atkinson/Watertown, WI  (1923 - 2009)

Genevieve E. Hill, 86, of Fort Atkinson, formerly of rural Watertown, died at Wellington Meadows in Fort Atkinson. Jenny was born in Milwaukee on March 12, 1923, daughter of Benjamin & Barbara (Siegfried) Doepke. She married Warren Hill on Oct. 30, 1943, in Waukesha. Jenny was a graduate of Bay View High School in Milwaukee. She and Warren farmed their entire lives. Jenny was a member of Waterloo United Methodist Church, AARP, Watertown Senior Center, Hubbleton Homemakers, and various card clubs. Jenny will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Jim) Gruetzmacher of Waukesha and Linda (Jim) Wolff of Edgerton; three grandchildren: Michel (Kelli) Wolff, Jacqueline (Ryan) Ellifson, and Beth (Cory) Geisler; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanette (Elmer) Zajork and Barbara Kostrzewa, both of Greenfield; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jenny was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Ralph Doepke; sister-in-law, Virginia Doepke; and brother-in-law, Dan Kostrzewa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at WATERLOO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, with the Rev. Markus Wegenast officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the CHURCH. Burial will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha. Memorials are suggested to Waterloo United Methodist Church.
