Judith K. Eichelt, 64, of Janesville, died on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at UW Hospital, Madison. She was born in Soldiers Grove, WI, on Feb. 5, 1945, daughter of Alfred and Mae (Guist) Hiller. She graduated from Janesville High School and had been a Janesville resident most of her life. Judith had been employed by General Motors until her retirement in 1998. She was a member of the UAW Local #95.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jewel “Joe” Eichelt of Janesville; four children: Kammy Litzer of Arizona, Julie Eichelt of Janesville, Cindy Coleman of Wisconsin, and Troy Eichelt of Janesville; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Hiller and Richard Hiller of Wisconsin; five sisters: Evelyn (Vernon) Peterson, Marlene Emery, Martha (Harley) Hirschfield, Alfreda Johnston, and Mary Dull, all of Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, other extended family; close friends, Tom and Mary McCann, and Geri Shaffer; and special dog, Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Peggy Sue; and four infant siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, with Rev. Rich Collier officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
