Charlene Fisher Burman, Long Beach, MS/formerly Janesville  (1931 - 2009)

Charlene Fisher Burman of Long Beach, MS, a native of Janesville, WI, died on Friday, June 12, 2009. She was born on May 27, 1931, and graduated from Janesville High School with the Class of 1949. She was a long time resident of Kenosha, WI, and was married to Merle E. Burman for 58 years. She graduated as an LPN from Gateway Technical Institute Nursing Program in 1971, and worked as an LPN at Kenosha Memorial Intensive Care Unit for 15 years. She was a member of the Homemaker's group for 50 years, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Long Beach, MS, and a member of the OAKS and Circle II at FUMC.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Merle; two children, Stephen M. Burman and his wife, Nan, of Fort Wayne, IN, and Debra K. Palmer and her husband, Allen Palmer, of Long Beach, MS; her four grandchildren: Emily Burman of Fort Wayne, IN, Matthew Palmer of Long Beach, MS, Jacob Palmer and his wife, Rachel, of Baton Rouge, LA, and Rachel Welch and her husband, Chad, of Madison, MS; and a special niece, Liaz Hatcher of Loveland, CO.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Long Beach, MS. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the CHURCH CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Kenosha, WI, at a later date.
