Howard “Jim” Dooley, 88, of Delavan Lake, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. He was born in Elkhorn on March 8, 1921, son of Lowe and Marie Dooley. He grew up and worked on the family farm. He then drove delivery trucks for General Motors Corp. of Janesville and Osborne Distributing of Delavan, later retiring from A-Jay Industry of Delavan. Jim was involved with the Delavan Red Devils; he loved to fish and hunt, and he was an avid Packer Fan.
He is survived by Georgia Kemp of Delavan; one brother, Jay Dooley of Elkhorn; nieces and nephews; also Georgia’s children: Connie (Jim) Zelem of Connecticut, Karen Kilkenny of Waukesha, WI, and Mickey (Julie) Kemp of Shiocton, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Doris; and his brother, George.
A Chapel Service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at ROSELAWN MEMORY GARDENS in Delavan. MONROE FUNERAL HOME, DELAVAN, is assisting the family.
