Mark S. Vitkus, Hebron, WI  (1946 - 2009)

Mark S. Vitkus, 62, of Hebron, WI, died on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at his home. He was born in Elkhorn, WI, on Sept. 16, 1946, the son of Severn J. and Aina (Blad) Vitkus. He married Sharon (Finney) Biskupski on June 11, 1999 in Woodstock, IL. He was a supervisor at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the custodial department from 1991 until his retirement in 2007. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Vitkus of Hebron; his children: Randy (Denise) Biskupski of Gurnee, IL, Rodney (Ronda) Biskupski of Jefferson, and Russell Biskupski of Whitewater; his grandchildren, Ashley and Danny Biskupski; one brother, Severn (Peg) Vitkus of Sycamore; and nephews: Stuart (Mary) Vitkus, Scott (Ramona) Vitkus and Steven (Karen) Vitkus, all of Sycamore. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jan Vitkus.
In following with Mark's wishes, there will be no visitation or services, but a Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the AMERICAN LEGION HALL IN WHITEWATER. OLSEN FUNERAL HOME IN WHITEWATER is assisting the family with arrangements.
