Luella Parrish Schleisner, 99, a long-time Janesville/Edgerton area resident died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Edgerton Care Center. Luella was born on June 25, 1909, in Rock County, the daughter of Charles and Harriet Ross Synstegard. She graduated from Janesville High School. She married Harry Parrish in 1930; and following his death, she later married George Schleisner, who died in 1981. Mrs. Schleisner was employed in the office of Colvin Baking Company and Gardner Baking Company for over 30 years. She was a member of the Fulton Church.
Luella is survived by one daughter, Nona (Len) Griffith of Janesville; two grandchildren, Gayle (Darrel) Wilt of Centerville, OH, and Greg (Deb) Griffith of Janesville, four great-grandchildren: Leslie and Caleb Wilt, Sara (Mike) Baker, and Regina Griffith; and a nephew, Brad Thoreson.
A memorial service will be held at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville, Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at 2 p.m. Pastor Larry MacKenzie will officiate. Private burial was Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, in Orfordville Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements by HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME(608-741-1713).
