Betty L. Bratzke, Edgerton  (1922 - 2009)

Betty L. Bratzke, 87, of Edgerton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Edgerton Hospital and Health Services. She was born on Oct. 30, 1922, in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late James and Alice Haggerty. She was united in marriage to Nester Brown and George Bratzke; they both preceded her in death. Betty enjoyed, cooking, Irish music, poetry, biscuits and gravy, flea markets, people, fishing, the north woods, bingo and casinos, and going for rides in the country. She was a member of the Elm Drive Garden Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (James) Kassien of Boulder Junction and Diane Kassien of Owen; five sons: Richard Brown of Janesville, Michael (Sue) Brown of Montello, Steven (Nancy) Brown of Abbotsford, Daniel (Kim) Brown of Edgerton, and Douglas (Linda) Brown of Jefferson; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (Clifford) Rogers; one brother, James (Caroline) Haggerty; both of Janesville; and her extended family at Elm Drive.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Delores and Sandy; two sons, David and Gerald; one grandson, Craig; and four sisters: Norma, Evelyn, Viola, and Joanie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at the EHLERT FUNERAL HOME (U.S. HWY. 51 S.), Edgerton, with the Rev, James Rivers officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Cemetery, Janesville. Friends may call on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
