Philip L. Vogt, Elkhorn  (1925 - 2009)

ELKHORN—Philip L. Vogt, 84 of Cty Road A Elkhorn, WI died Wednesday November 4, 2009. Philip was born October 30, 1925 in Lyons WI the son of George and Mathilde (Held) Vogt. He attended school in Lyons. Philip has farmed in the Elkhorn area since 1945. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Elkhorn.
He is survived by 3 brothers: Stephen, Charles and Louis (Mi-chelle) Vogt all of Elkhorn, WI. 1 sister-in-law: Doris Vogt of Elkhorn, WI. Cousins, including LeRoy Vogt of Lake Geneva, WI. 16 nieces and nephews: Patricia (Dennis) Yanke Anderson, Larry Yanke, Kenneth Yanke, Nancy (Ralph) Yanke Giormo, Fred (Marilyn) Yanke, Joan Freeman Kellen, Mary (Richard) Vogt Ehlen, Cheri (Dale) Vogt Brummel, Kim (Brian) Vogt Longfield, Kay (Dana) Vogt Rossow, Wayne Vogt, Karen (Richard) Vogt Connell, Richard (Becky) Vogt, Kathleen Vogt, Rebecca (Michael) Vogt Miller and Joseph (Breann) Vogt. Further survived by many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews who will all miss their “Uncle Willie Bear.” He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Bernice (Lester) Yanke, Marion (John) Freeman and Louise Vogt. 3 brothers: Clarence (Bernice), John and George Vogt.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday No-vember 9, 2009 at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH 107 W. Wal-worth St. Elkhorn, WI with Father Jim Jaeger officiating.
