Ceriese Riley, Janesville  (1927 - 2010)

Ceriese Riley, 83, Janesville, died on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Muscoda on Sept. 13, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Caroline (Zadrazil) Kovar. She graduated from Muscoda High School, and moved to Janesville in 1949. Ceriese married Beauford L. Riley in Muscoda on June 5, 1948, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2002. She had been employed by Amphenol Controls and SSI Technologies. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose, and was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and the Breakfast Program at Jackson Elementary School.
Ceriese is survived by her three sons: Bruce (Diane) Riley, Bryan (Sheila) Riley, and Dennis (Pat) Riley, all of Janesville; six grandchildren: Melissa (Randy) Moore, Briana (Dan) Leeder, Lindsay (Jodie) Riley, Ian (Katie) Riley, Scott Riley, and Jon Riley; two stepgrandchildren, Lester (Sandy) Bennett and Lucas (Mal) Bennett; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Franklin (Ruthetta) Kovar of Janesville and Donald (Maxine) Kovar of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Carol Severson of Beloit; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Beauford; and sister, Nancy Kovar.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, with Rev. Wendee Nitz officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the CHURCH. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum.
