John H. Lampen, 77, 1922 County Road NN, Elkhorn, WI, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn, WI. John was born on April 16, 1933, in New York, NY. He was the son of Herman and Gresina (Eilers) Lampen. John drove truck for over 25 years for LCL Transit Co., retiring in 1989. John loved music and dance; he also played the accordion.
He is survived by his five children: Susan (Karl) Stoll of Whitewater, WI, Katherine (Craig) Shellman of Elkhorn, Nancy Lampen of Elkhorn, James Lampen of Whitewater, and Patricia (Brad) Lau of Jim Falls, WI; seven grandchildren: Renee and Emily Stoll, Jennifer, Paul and Andrew Shellman, Tyler and Amber Lau; two sisters, Wilma (Joe) Viereckl of Arlington Hts., IL, and Thekla Noegel of Mt. Prospect, IL; and one brother, Gerhardt (Sophie) Lampen of Lake Havasu, AZ.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Kenneth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 107 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn, WI, with Father John Twomey officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Delavan, WI. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at HAASE-DERRICK-LOCKWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 730 N.
