Judith A. Meisner, 70, of Janesville, WI, passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Milton, WI. Judy fought a courageous battle with cancer for two years.
Judy was born Aug. 24, 1941, the daughter of Raymond and Bernice (Floerke) Kutz, at Beloit Hospital. A graduate of Clinton High School, Judy attended the Art Institute of Chicago and received her Master’s Degree in Fine Art from U.W. Whitewater. A former art teacher at Phoenix Middle School, professional beauty consultant and docent at Lincoln Tallman House, Judy spent over 30 years as a tour escort taking groups of visitors to Egypt and was working on a novel titled, “An Egyptian Affair,” based on her life experiences in Egypt.
Judy leaves behind her beloved children: Steve (Barb) Meisner of Whitewater, Daniel Meisner of Seattle, WA, and Michelle (John) Bush of Milton; her grandchildren: Whitney, Lindsey, Austin, Tyler, and Anna; great-grandchildren, Evan and Jacob; brothers, Bill (Judy) Kutz of Shopiere and Mark Kutz of Jupiter, FL; and sister, Sherry Sampson of Janesville.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Raymond Kutz; step-mother, Vivian Kutz; and her ex-husband, Verne Meisner.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at the FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 401 W. Main Street, WHITEWATER. Luncheon and musical celebration to be held immediately following at Randy’s Restaurant, 841 E. Milwaukee Street, Whitewater.
