Marybelle L. Naugle, age 83, of Beloit, died Friday Aug. 17, 2012, in her daughter’s home. She was born June 11, 1929, to the late Roy and Mabel (Bliss) Grohnke in Beloit. Marybelle married Robert H. Naugle on Dec. 15, 1948, in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 2001. Marybelle was a wonderful homemaker and farmers wife. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Marybelle loved working on the farm that she lived on for 68 years. She raised rabbits, chickens and pigs. Marybelle also enjoyed card playing, country music and a good family gathering. In her younger years, she worked at Pates Foods and Freeman Shoes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Marybelle is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou (Duey) Thompson of Beloit; six grandchildren: Brenda Porter of Beloit, Angie (Brad) Fraser of Janesville, Mark (Julie) Flynn of Footville, Mary Kay (Don) Wickstrum of Monroe, Bobby Dale (Penny) Naugle of Janesville and Becky Naugle of Beloit; six great grandchildren: Jaycob, Deven, Tyler, Brittany, Delaney and Dakota; her sister, Isabelle Drevdahl; her chubby dog, Taco; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert H. Naugle; her son, Robert A. Naugle; and her brother-in-law, Robert Drevdahl.
The family would like to thank special friends, Geri Klatt, Pat Henning and Florence Dobson, as well as, Beloit Regional Hospice for the care and compassion they gave Mom.
Marybelle’s Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, with Ruth Kolpack officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday in the FUNERAL HOME from 5 until 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday in the FUNERAL HOME from 12 Noon until the time of service. Following Marybelle’s service, the cortege will proceed to Newark Cemetery for interment. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial is being established in her name.
