Arthur J. Salzwedel Sr., 88, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek. Arthur was born on Aug 18, 1924, in North Fort, NE, the son of Alvert and Elsie Salzwedel. He married Evelyn Dohs on Feb. 25, 1947. Arthur was very active in AA and was an avid antique dealer and collector.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Fort Atkinson; daughters, Debra (Wally) Ruud and Penny (Dave) Peirce, both of Janesville; son, John (Cindy) Salzwedel of Baraboo, WI; many grandchildren: and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Arthur Salzwedel Jr.; daughter, Linda Gregoire; sisters, Wilhelmina Eastman and Lilly Salzwedel; and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at the DUNLAP MEMORIAL HOME in Fort Atkinson. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the MEMORIAL HOME until time of service. www.dunlapmemorialhome.com
