Luana Marie Juarez, 65, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Janesville, WI. She was born Dec. 20, 1946, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Walter and Ethel (Bockhop) West. Luana married Manuel J. Juarez, Jr. on April 29, 1969, in Rock Island, IL. Manuel passed away on May 15, 2012. She was a Social Worker for Catholic Charities and Children’s Home and Aide Society in Rockford. Luana loved animals, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Luana is survived by her daughter, Sara (Ben) Koch of Orfordville, WI; her son, Brian (Tina) of Fort Atkinson, WI; three grandchildren: Andy and Josh Juarez and Isabelle Koch. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held at MARTIN SCHWARTZ FUNERAL HOME, 100 Park Place, Platteville, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012. A visitation will be at the FUNERAL HOME at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A visitation will be held at NEWCOMER-SILVERTHORN CHAPEL ON THE HILL, 3008 S Coon Island Rd, Orfordville, WI, on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, from 4 until 6 p.m. Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont.
